Jackie Lalumandier is an up and coming student, planning to go to NYU Steinhardt to get an MA in Costume Studies. She currently has studied fashion design, but has a degree in photography. While pursuing different careers, her interest in cosmetic history came about from exploring antique shops, discovering the English Heritage YouTube channel on their historical makeup tutorials, and currently reading the book, The Artifice of Beauty by Sally Pointer. Her specific enjoyments are learning about how cosmetics were made back in history, discovering how the makeup was applied and contained, and looking at the beautiful packaging designs that were uniquely crafted.
